Music: The melody that connects us

Music is universal, no doubt about that. So what happens if you want to learn to sing a song from different language? What do you do?

It’s actually not that hard, and sure, it usually needs time and practice, but the end result will be worth it.

First of all, pick your song, known language or not. You want to make sure that you will enjoy singing this song.

Secondly, try listening to that song a few times and maybe even sing to it (as much as you know, no pressure). This will help you a lot, as you will now know the rhythm, tone, and pitch of the song.

Third, try to find a good website (or a video of some kind!) that has lyrics to your song. If you don’t know the meaning, make sure to check that out as well; sometimes they can be truly beautiful and can even help you sing the song better.

Then, try to learn how to pronounce the lyrics. Don’t worry about memorizing anything yet. Tip: It may help to sing with the song sometimes, so you can hear how the singers are singing it, as well as have some practice.

After that, you may want to try to memorize. Again, it’s not a big deal. However, if you do memorize, then you can sing anywhere. Some people find themselves already memorizing because of the amount of practice and effort and love they have put into learning this song.

Last, but certainly not least, have fun, enjoy yourself, and sing!
